About Us

Brian Clavier founded Frontier Investigations, LLC in 2023, after more than thirty years in public safety. Frontier Investigations obtained its license as a private investigation company through the Georgia Secretary of State the following year.

Brian started his career as a full-time firefighter with the Cordele Fire Department in 1991. In 1994, he completed the Georgia Basic Police Academy at Abraham Baldwin College in Tifton, Georgia at which time Brian was responsible for the investigation of fires in the City of Cordele. In 1997, Brian went to work for the Georgia State Fire Marshal’s Office as an Arson Investigator, working out of Waycross, he was responsible for investigating arson and large fires in the Southeast Georgia area. In 2007, he was assigned to the Wildland Arson Task Force, which was investigating the historic wildfires in Southeast Georgia. The following year, Brian transferred to the Georgia Forestry Commission as their Chief of Law Enforcement, overseeing all wildfire investigations. In 2014, Brian was instrumental in the passage of a timber security bill, making the Georgia Forestry Commission responsible for investigating all forestry related crimes. Brian developed, implemented, and led the state’s timber investigation program based on the new timber security bill.

During his public safety career, Brian received almost 4000 hours of Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training approved training. Brian has investigated all types of crimes, ranging from misdemeanors to homicide cases, providing expert testimony in state and federal court. He has been certified in Georgia as a firefighter, peace officer, arson investigator, instructor, firearms instructor, supervisor, manager, fire investigator, and law enforcement chief executive. He obtained and has maintained his IAAI-CFI certification since 1998. Obtained National Wildland Fire Coordinating Group qualifications as INVF and INVL (wildland fire investigator and investigator lead), as well as served on the NWCG Fire Investigation Subcommittee since 2015. He is also an FAA part 107 certified UAV pilot.

Using the experience from the arson task force in 2007, Brian organized the Southeast Arson Task Force in 2011, which developed into an annual training meeting of the state forestry investigators in the southeast United States. The task force allowed states to coordinate on sharing resources, information, and training. Brian was the lead for the task force from 2011 until 2023.

Brian has been an instructor since 2000, providing training to law enforcement and fire service personnel. He has taught numerous FI210 and FI310 courses throughout the southeast.

Additionally, his career with the Georgia Forestry Commission provided great insight into rural crimes affecting Georgia. He also realized there were limited resources available in the private market for those affected by these incidents. The training and experience related to wildfire and forestry related investigations has expanded his capabilities in these rural settings.

Frontier Investigations, LLC was founded to provide those professional investigative resources. Although we are capable of all types of investigations, focusing on those rural settings is where we stand out from other companies.
